Robinson Records Continue
January 31st, 2008Robinson Helicopters produced 823 new helicopters in 2007 – a new industry record for the most helicopters produced in a single year by one company (the previous record of 806 helicopters was set by Robinson in 2005).
This total also broke another record – for the most helicopters of a single model to be produced in one year – with 664 R44s being produced. The previous (also Robinson) record for 563 R44s, was set in 2005.
The company produced 159 of its two seat R22s during 2007.
Robinson expects strong sales to continue in 2008 and is increasing production even further to cope with demand. The company currently averages around 18 new aircraft each week.
