First 777 Freighter Leaves Factory

Boeing’s first 777 Freighter has moved from its Everett factory to the flight line where work will continue on the aircraft to prepare it for flight test this summer and for painting in Boeing’s livery. The first 777 Freighter will go to launch customer Air France in the fourth quarter of 2008.The 777 Freighter is based on the 777-200LR Worldliner passenger aircraft and will have greater range and capacity than any other existing twin-engine cargo aircraft. The freighter is built using the same production line as all other models of the 777. So far, there have been 78 of the 777 Freighters ordered by eleven customers around the world.
