TracPlus Award and Appointments
October 1st, 2008In the recent TUANZ (Telecommunication Users Association of New Zealand) Awards, TracPlus Global Ltd won the Telecommunication Innovation of the Year Award for the most innovative product, service or initiative overall developed in New Zealand and delivered electronically to New Zealanders.
TracPlus was also awarded winner of the Initiative of the Year category for a product, service or application facilitated or enabled by the innovative use of technology in New Zealand or by a New Zealand company overseas.
The TUANZ Awards ceremony takes place annually and recognises outstanding innovation within the telecommunications arena in New Zealand. The awards are for products or services originating or provided in New Zealand.
TracPlus Global recently appointed Samantha Butero as its West Coast Sales Manager in the USA. Ms Butero was previously the Business Development Manager for Helicopter Programs with Shadon Avionics Inc.
In addition, Alan Townsend, a former vice president of Trimble, has joined the Board of TracPlus Global Ltd. Mr Townsend joined Trimble in 1991 as the manager of Trimble Navigation New Zealand Ltd, where he filled a number of senior roles with that company. He served as the managing Director of Trimble Navigation New Zealand Ltd before his appointment to the board of TracPlus Global.
