Crownair Brings Updated T210 to Market
December 1st, 2008
At the recent AOPA expo in San Jose, California (6–8 November), Crownair Aviation, which is based in southern California, displayed its first Crownair “Centurion Edition” modified Cessna T210. Crownair’s upgrade to the 1977 aircraft features a glass cockpit, a new paint scheme, RAM engine, tinted glass, wingtips with recognition lights, “Super Quiet” cabin soundproofing and grey leather seats with sheepskin inserts.
Crownair says the T210 will compete favourably with new aircraft, and will offer more payload and faster speeds (standard Cessna T210s had a maximum speed of 172 knots). Cessna produced more than 9,200 Centurions between 1957 and 1985.
“Centurion owners and pilots own a piece of history, but that doesn’t mean the plane shouldn’t have modern technology and comforts,” said Grant Murray, the owner of Crownair. “We understand the dedicated owners and enthusiasts who fly Centurions, and our goal is to make their flying experience first class.”
Crownair will produce Centurion Edition T210s to order. The upgrades and modifications take approximately two to three months, the company said.
